Hello! My name is Sonita. I am a Ph.D. in sociology (COVID 2020 graduate). My dissertation focuses on race/ethnicity, immigration, and culture in Paris.

I am a 2017-2018 Fulbright grant winner to France. I have helped dozens of students win competitive fellowships. I am available for fellowship, essay, and graduate school consulting services: https://www.scholarnoire.com/resources

Scholar Noire is a space created for those interested in black women’s scholarship, critical theory, and all intersections between. I intend to uplift the work of those who came before me and demystify the Ph.D. process, while emphasizing self-care as praxis.
